I'm into analogies these days (stay tuned for tomorrow's Search Insider) so here's one...
Wolfram Alpha is to calculators as Google is to math.
In other words, it's a nice tool to use when trying to solve a problem but it's just a tool, not a problem-solver. Heck, Wolfram Alpha even brands itself as a "computational knowledge engine." So, not only is it a calculator, but it's stored in a geeky pocket protector.
Hunch, on the other hand, is a decision-making engine. And that's the stuff of Google-slaying.
