I've always been amused by the ads that Google matches with keywords in my Gmail content. Sure, they capture my attention but that's only because I'm a search marketing guy who pays attention to that sort of thing. Rarely do they match my mindset or the context of how I was using said keyword in my email correspondence.
Today I came across a great example of a bad match. I opened my spam folder and sure enough there was ad ad for a pasta recipe that called for Spam.

This ad may not be spammy (like those spam emails are) but it sure ain't effective.
